Project Coordinator

New York - Brooklyn, NY - Full Time

We’re hiring a project coordinator to provide administration and coordination support for our high-end residential construction projects. In this position, you’ll work with regional project teams and our accounting department to help ensure that our projects run smoothly.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a project coordinator, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the Project Manager, entering subcontractor subcontract agreements (SA’s), subcontract agreement revisions (SARs), and vendor agreement or vendor agreement revisions into Sage as directed; tracking and saving copies of all executed documents in Sage and Sharefile
  • Ensuring sub and vendor insurance compliance including tracking, requesting, and reviewing insurance certificates
  • Assisting with collecting information for Vendor/subcontractor set up with W-9 collection for submission to Accounting
  • Keeping buy-out log up to date as subcontractors are hired for various scopes of work upon request of the Project Manager
  • Assisting with tracking and distribution of RFI’s and Submittals as requested by Project Manager
  • Participating in internal project reviews when requested
  • Assisting with project closeout, including with the preparation of O&M manuals and collection of subcontractor warranties, as requested by the Project Manager

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

To be successful as a Dowbuilt project coordinator, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred but not required
  • At least one year of experience within construction industry required
  • Proficiency with MS Office 365
  • Experience with web-based solutions such as Smartsheet, ShareFile, Slack and Asana is preferred
  • Ability to read and understand plans, drawings and specifications, preferred
  • General working knowledge of Sage 300 CRE (formerly Timberline) Project Manager Module – training to be provided
  • Ability to maintain the highest ethical standards in all business relationships
  • Knowledge of construction sequencing and best practices
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with project teams that transcend a project
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively
  • Detail-oriented and proactive problem solver
  • Demonstrate discretion and treat all proprietary company information as strictly confidential outside (and in some cases inside) the company

The compensation range for this position is: $31.00 - $41.00 per hour
